We're in the hypernormalization period of the decline of our society.

How do we escape this?

The fabrication of our reality relies on not whether we believe what the propagandized media tells us or not, but whether we engage with this media at all

The propaganda machine is not simply interested in dictating reality, because it is much too difficult to get people to agree on what reality is.

Instead, this media is interested in abolishing meaning altogether, and distorting reality for different people in sufficient ways that it takes too much energy to sift through the bullshit that people just give up and accept that they're being lied to, and not actually try to discern reality.

This is what the purpose of Fox News is. Anyone who watches it and pays attention to what they're saying could be able to tell that what the talking heads tell the viewers is often contradictory or simply nonsensical.

However, this is of little consequence to the people disseminating those lies, because all they need is for the viewer to let the current fabricated reality be embedded into their identity, and then for those people whose identity is rooted in a fabricated reality to be completely unable to relate to other people because their reality is so warped that any communication immediately breaks down, unless the other person has similarly had their reality warped.

Think about all the ways that people live in fabricated realities. Flat earth, cryptocurrencies, pyramid schemes and MLMs, anti-vax BS.

The root of this isn't just watching the worst offenders of propagandistic media like fox news, but rather engaging with the media storm at all warps our reality.

We must reject the premise of corporate media that the things they report are worth our time and effort.

Politics, celebrities, millionaires and billionaires, the growing resignation to blatant corruption and legislative deadlock.

Don't invest your energy into giving a shit about the squabbles of people who don't give a shit about you.

Invest energy in yourself, improving yourself, and bettering your collective and community.

Keep yourself aware of the reality around you, but don't let media spin dictate your understanding of reality.

The reality that media wants to sell us is that everything is fine as long as we're vaccinated, and even if you think you might have been exposed to the plague, you should go out shopping anyway, oh god please go shopping, you need to buy things and go to work, because working and buying things are good for you

And the flow of money is the only thing keeping this society together.

This society that has failed us, and especially failed its most vulnerable members.

This society which does not deserve the continued contribution of our efforts to uphold it.
