the only video game hardware announcement that would actually interest me is, like, one of the big three committing to *not* release a new console in the next ten–fifteen years (unless it's a less expensive and more energy-efficient version of their existing console). I'm sick of buying these things, sick of having them pile up in my apartment, I don't care about 8k or raytracing or any of that garbage
@aparrish Yeah. My plan is to rent or borrow a PS4 this fall to play the one game that I care about and then be done with it.
@aparrish competing on hardware specs on consoles in 2019 is so weird to me anyways
no console that's come out in 10 years has had better specs at launch than pc hardware you could buy at the time (obv. not at the same price point, but still).
