so who are the artists/activists/engineers in NYC working on decentralized networking (broadly construed—peer to peer, activitypub-esque stuff, mesh networking, gopher revivals, etc.)?

(I feel like I probably know most of them [and maybe even had them as students] but for some reason I can't come up with a quick list)

@aparrish I'm part of the core development team for #Friendica, a decentralized social platform aiming at maximum compatibility currently supporting AP, Diaspora, OStatus, Email, Twitter...

@aparrish I'd go ask around at the https://nycmesh.net meetups, there were a few there working on IPFS and other things of that nature.

@xuv @aparrish oh gosh I am seeing this a month later, very curious to see your list! Probably most of the people I know are those you’ve already accounted for, Dhruv and Surya for example. I want to know who showed up at Radical Networks, ppl I don’t know the names of yet but should.
