hobby project
good progress today - I've gotta work out some issue with the center one (I think my bodge needs to be rebodged), but I've got 3 units that I think I can share.
I've got another 2 that I'm keeping for firmware dev :)
Hobby project
things I discovered when putting these three units together:
- the screen is no go for DIY, even discounting the bodge, I had to do significant rework on the screen on two units
- doing the audio jacks, pots, and battery connector was ok, but rather advanced
- enclosure is fine? it really lowers the fit / finish of the unit when its in your hand. don't know what alternates I could realistically afford. Might see what aluminum would run me just for fun.
- its so slow to build these

@jonbro that’s a good little tube!
Hobby project
@ranjit It nice to just tube around with these synths!
Hobby project
@jonbro Do they have a sequencer in them??
Hobby project
@blueberrysoft yep, they are little grooveboxes.
I should really write up a manual / explanation page at some point.
Hobby project
@jonbro that'd be great. i'm working towards making myself something like that too.
Hobby project
@blueberrysoft oh cool! Are you doing hardware? I'm planning on open sourcing at least the firmware, but I'm not sure if it will be helpful or not.
Hobby project
@jonbro yeah, hardware. i haven't been able to find an affordable sample player / sequencer thing i want that's low on menu diving, so i've planned out my ideal one. bit i have to work my way up to it, 'cause my electronics knowledge is pretty basic. so always kren to look at other pepple's diy projects.
Hobby project
@blueberrysoft oh interesting! I'm happy to chat if you want to talk shop, anytime :)
Hobby project
