facebook pesmism, sorry
I saw some folks on Twitter who generally cover this sort of thing also speculating that it looks more like sabotage as time goes on. Very interesting, but not sure what the impact could actually be.
This is all Digitone sounds, but I wanted to avoid the sequencer, so this is all played into the Ditto x4 looper, with two synth lines played on top. I tried playing in some accidentals to create some chords I don't usually play. I also tried 12/4 to give it more of a wandering feel (like scientists scouring their lab for silver and forging bullets so they can take down a werewolf? We watched a werewolf movie tonight). Very pleased with the wandering, detuning drone!
mostly digitone, but with some guitar stuff going on also. i am particularly happy with the part where the guitar comes in. this is definitely a vibe and a setup i have done almost exactly before, but that's because i like doing it!
samples are: "maybe" by peabo bryson and roberta flack, "hihache" by lafayette afro rock band, roger ebert being mean about a movie. used the SP-404 for the samples, used digitone for some other synth business around it. just warming up!
wild story about how today's college students don't have a mental model for computer directory systems or the concept of files
Good organizers are "people who who genuinely believe that ordinary people have high intelligence, people who very deeply respect ordinary people.”
"The next person to talk to that worker will be their manager. Then the next person to talk to that worker will be FOX news." This is why we talk to people three, four, five times, real assessments of commitment. It's so good, wow
"In the mobilizing model, you may be involving people in very large numbers, but the limitation of the mobilizing approach is that you’re only talking to people who agree with you already... What makes organizing different than all other kinds of activism is it puts you in direct contact every day with people who have no shared political values whatsoever."
The homework for this week's meeting includes an interview with Jane McAlevey that is already so incredible, especially her distinction between "mobilizing" and "organizing." https://www.vox.com/podcasts/2020/3/17/21182149/jane-mcalevey-the-ezra-klein-show-labor-organizing
Proton mail, who claim they don't keep IPs, have handed the IPs of climate activists over to the French police. The activists had their homes searched and were arrested.
So the only way Protonmail is secure is if you use a VPN
