guess what time it is
(it's tea time magazine time!!!!)
feels like the last issue just came!!? what is time. this is the ✨Holiday✨ issue
The three holidays: Christmas, Fairmont Hotel, Hanukkah
pretty sad that we didn't get a halloween issue? how rad would that have been
wait what does this MEAN? Love is very heavy? Heavy materials are valuable??
omg they tell you what kind of tea is depicted in the cup on the cover (it's a particular brand's black rose)
ads are hitting the usual notes: a lot of recipes and a tearoom-themed murder mystery
omg this issue's murder mystery is titled "A Fatal Twist of Lemon" OMG
this issue comes at a troubled time in my life, as my two favorite tea pots are leaking and cracked, respectively
a) I'm glad someone is finally taking down the Williams Sonoma peppermint bark monopoly
b) TWO cozy murders in one Tea Time Magazine issue? truly blessed
"a collection of the coziest Christmas capers! ... when murder is in the cards, some holiday greetings are addressed to kill."
I love how committed tea time magazine is to the idea that murder is cozy
Downton Abbey is alive and well in the tea time magazine-verse events calendar
didn't that show end like 5 years ago?
some choice business name puns from the Mid-Atlantic Tea Business Association:
"One Steep at a Thyme"
"Desert Breeze Par-Teas"
"Tea You There"
"East Indies Coffee and Tea Company" 😬
"I'm sure there's nothing problematic about fetishizing the victorian era" -- the editors of tea time magazine probably
I don't get the appeal of these stacked tea cup tea pot things? Why would I want to put my teapot on top of my teacup?
ads for tea party cookbooks: you got me. I do in fact collect tea cookbooks.
some day I should go through and review them all (on BookWyrm). a lot of them I bought because they looked terrible and I wanted to crow about it
"are your cookbooks organized by color, mouse?"
This is what I've been saying!!!!
It's TIME!!! To introduce tea!! To my friends!!
frankly I think one steep at a thyme is pun greed, it's too many puns in one phrase
@tripofmice my god, lead airplanes must be so expensive...
@neltnerb and... (checks note) so loving
@tripofmice ah yes, the immortal holiday sentiment that love is a burden
@tripofmice sure, but does it have lead?
@tripofmice very useful for if you never use it, i think
@tripofmice cute storage and always make the right amount of tea for one cup? I don't really get it either
@tripofmice I think it's meant to be a signifier that you are only brewing tea for yourself and do not want to share
@tripofmice i dunno but i am currently watching it all and loving it
@tripofmice love is a burden we must lay down if we wish to be free
@tripofmice love has the density of a neutron star
@whoisgina love will consume us and crush us into oblivion
@tripofmice been waiting for that for so long tbh
@tripofmice is this magazine published in Victoria, BC?
@eldang I have no idea where it's published but it does have a sibling magazine called Victoria I think?
@tripofmice I did some digging, and it's Birmingham AL! I was just asking because there are a bunch of tea rooms in Victoria that go in so hard on this aesthetic, and the Fairmont is the flagship (though everyone says it's overpriced and doesn't offer anything better than the others).
@tripofmice it's the most wonderful time of the year
@ranjit the most tea time-est time of the year
@tripofmice HELL YEAH
